One of the biggest goals of the 1ststatesports Summer League has always been to create opportunities. While wins and losses are part of the experience, the league is ultimately about giving student-athletes a platform to compete, improve, and earn the recognition they deserve before the high school season begins.
This summer’s league featured many of Delaware’s top players and some of the state’s most recognizable names, providing high-level competition from start to finish. But just as important as the established stars were the players who arrived with little fanfare and left with people talking.
Tyler Earhart-Wright (McKean)
Would best describe Tyler as a high motor player who is relentless on the glass. Each game he showed why he is the glue of the team & does multiple things well ( attacking the basket, defending, and handling the ball). McKean will be a much improved team this upcoming season & Tyler’s ability to impact the game in multiple ways will key factor in their success.
Giovanni King (Odyssey Charter)
The 6’3 G/W probably boosted his stock the most during the league. His talent and potential really stood out, and was clear the work he has been putting in is starting to show. If he continues to stay focused, keep working hard, and trusting the process of being coachable he will be a major reason of Odyssey’s success this season.
