Jeron Phillips Sr recently landed a DII coaching position at Mansfield University in Pennsylvania with the women’s basketball program. Prior to this opportunity Phillips had been with Bryn Mawr program since 2023. His main roles with Mansfield will include recruiting, post player position coach, player development, and help building a successful team culture.
A Sussex County native who now resides in Smyrna started his coaching journey here in Delaware focused on the youth. Jeron spent 9 years at Providence Creek coaching middle school boys basketball while also assisting with the girls team several years.
One thing I really admire about Jeron is his genuine willingness to help Delaware athletes. He has not only made an effort to get our kids recruited and give them opportunities at the next level, but I’ve also seen him use his relationships with schools and coaches to promote our athletes and help create opportunities for them at other programs.
